The day has finally arrived! Amazon’s first MMO went live today across the world, but around 8AM here for us East Coast folks. I finally got around to playing it this afternoon (Tuesday afternoon, Sept 28th). As you can see in the video, I was a bit disappointed in Amazon because of the queuing of trying to get into the game. I actually stopped playing for a bit and when I tried to get back in, I was hung at position 10 in the queue. After several minutes, I cancelled and tried again, this time placing at position 28. Still, after several minutes, no movement. So, as of posting this article and video, I haven’t been able to get back into the game!
I will, of course, keep trying, and I’ll post some more videos. Is this a WOW killer? I dunno. I think Blizzard’s doing that to themselves without any help from the competition.
